    Over 100,000 people have signed a petition calling for a ban on using cages and crates for farmed animals, leading to a parliamentary debate in the House of Commons. The petition calls for the government to ban cages and crates for laying hens, other birds and sows. It also calls for a ban on individual calf pens. A debate on the petition is now scheduled to take place on 16 June.
