SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers learned their lesson from last year. After needing four cracks to eliminate the Edmonton Oilers last season, the Panthers’ reign continued Tuesday night when they thoroughly dominated Game 6 en route to a 5-1 victory to repeat as Stanley Cup champions. It was another clinic by the Panthers, who easily beat Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the Oilers in three of their four wins in the series.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Edmonton Oilers have traveled an awfully long road to get right back where they started. They’ve endured a harrowing two-week stretch in January that took them from west to east to west again, with stops in Seattle, Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Edmonton, Minnesota, Colorado and Vancouver. They’ve started three playoff rounds on the road before this Stanley Cup Final. In all, they’ve played 103 games over 248 days, criss-crossing the continent over and over and over.

LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman received $10,000 in fines from the NHL on Tuesday after squirting water toward the Florida Panthers bench and punching Matthew Tkachuk in the head during an emotional Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. Walman's fines were $5,000 apiece for unsportsmanlike conduct and roughing. They were the only supplemental discipline to come from Monday's 6-1 Panthers win, which featured 140 penalty minutes - the fourth-highest total in Cup Final history.

EDMONTON - With the game on his stick during a second clean breakaway look at Stuart Skinner on the night, Brad Marchand had only one thought in his mind. "Just don't forget the puck," he said. "That's the main thing. I've done that before. It's not a good feeling."Marchand evened the Stanley Cup Final with Friday's double-overtime winner in what had to be the biggest Florida Panthers goal of this season.

There's no sign of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at Oilers practice. Beyond that, they aren't showing any change in forward lines or 'D' pairings as things get underway. https://t.co/sRzO9mr66B
