Only permitted to initially protect three players meant the PWHL’s expansion process was going to sting the two-time defending champion Minnesota Frost. It didn’t take long to hit. Vancouver, one of two expansion teams joining the PWHL along with Seattle, poached defenders Claire Thompson and Sophie Jaques from the Frost on Wednesday. Thompson and Jaques are two of three finalists – along with Toronto’s Renata Fast – for the PWHL’s Defender of the Year Award.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Anthony Edwards shook both hands at his sides in celebration after knocking down his second consecutive 3-pointer over a 33-second span midway through the third quarter as the Minnesota Timberwolves took over and ran away from the Golden State Warriors. Said it already this postseason… We have entered NBA’s Depth Era https://t.co/gzoAMPIqZf

#BlameZulgad They've called it in Cincy. Twins lose 4-2 in 6. https://t.co/wa3OzUokDq

How long are they going to wait on Twins-Reds? Looks like there will be a break at 1 am in Cincinnati. Might just want to call it.

Oh, man. Agony of defeat. I feel awful for this kid. They lost the game - and their season - one batter later. Would've still needed to win Game 2 tomorrow to advance, but still.

OH NO, ARKANSAS 😬😬😬😬😬😬 #MCWS https://t.co/gONvAErGet
