Stotles, the London-based platform that helps private sector suppliers grow their revenue in the public sector, has raised £10m ($13m) in Series A funding. The round was led by Headline and Acton, with participation from Form Ventures and Seedcamp. Stotles supports the end-to-end commercial process of creating strategy; building a qualified pipeline; finding the right tenders, and qualifying those opportunities to generate a first draft of a bid.

Manchester-headquartered THG is at risk of losing its place in the FTSE 250, reports suggest. The online retailer was only included in the FTSE 250 Index in March and the quarterly FTSE index review is based on changes to market cap. In March, THG’s founder and CEO Matt Moulding hailed the company’s inclusion as an ‘important moment in THG’s evolution’ following the demerger of THG Ingenuity.

Global customer services provider Moneypenny has announced plans to go on the acquisition trail in its 25th anniversary year. The Wrexham-headquartered tech giant was co-founded in 2000 by siblings Ed Reeves and Rachel Clacher CBE and now employs around 1,000 staff and has a group turnover of £75m. Moneypenny has already made four US acquisitions and chief commercial officer Mark Finlay told BusinessCloud they were eyeing up other targets.

InvestmentDragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett has become the co-owner of a US-based creator platform after making an undisclosed ‘significant investment’. Stan is an all-in-one creator store designed to help creators easily monetise their audience and The Diary of a CEO podcast host has described his investment as ‘the biggest deal of my life’. The 32-year-old revealed his partner Melanie Vaz Lopes’ experiences persuaded him to get involved.

Stuart Clarke, founder of Leeds Digital Festival, has announced he’s stepping down after this year’s event. Clarke, who was awarded an MBE in 2022 for services to technology and was included in BusinessCloud’s 2024 Northern Leaders list, will be handing the day-to-day responsibilities over to Deb Hetherington after September’s festival and assuming the role of non-executive chair. He said: “It’s been a huge privilege running the Leeds Digital Festival for the last 10 years.
