Borderland 4’s story trailer has dropped and it’s setting players up for the fight of their life, diving into the events that have your vault hunter, or vault hunters, grounded. Gearbox Software has teased Borderlands 4’s big villain, the Timekeeper, who is the ultimate authority on Kairos, the setting for this fourth game. That might seem like a step down given that the previous had you roaming multiple planets, but your will is not your own, not at first.

Developer Rebel Wolves has shared a deep dive into The Blood of Dawnwalker’s gameplay, showcasing this open-world action RPG’s combat, skills and exploration. Our biggest takeaway, however, is that the game’s best attack has absolutely nothing to do with its protagonist’s half-vampire status. Don’t get us wrong, it’s an informative twenty minutes, and we’re seriously hyped for this game. There’s gore aplenty, as hero Coen takes on foes and, at one point, slices their heads clean off.

Borderlands 4 arrives this September and there’s been a fair amount of fan furore about the lack of a mini-map, a feature present in previous Borderlands games. Now, developer Gearbox Software has confirmed that, while it won’t be restoring the mini-map, it’ll offer fans an alternative. Instead of a mini-map, Borderlands 4 will have a ‘combat radar’ which will show the position of enemies on the map.

According to leaks (via Game Sandwich) there’s a Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition launching soon, possibly as early as next week, and I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on it. Rumours are that the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition will be a jet-black Meta Quest 3S, paired with an Xbox controller and three months of Xbox Game Pass. Why Game Pass? Because you’ll supposedly be able to stream Xbox and PC games to it. The latter is absolutely in line with Microsoft’s current direction.
