Photo by Rich Graessle/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images The 2025 NFL Draft is almost here and this year’s draft is going to be hugely consequential for the New York Giants. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that it could determine the course of the franchise for the next five years. This is also an incredibly unusual draft with intrigue at almost every level and at every position. The BBV mailbag is already stuffed with questions and we are been picking a few out to answer along the way.

Kirby Lee-Imagn Images The New York Giants are currently sitting as perhaps the wildcard in the 2025 NFL Draft. Nobody seems sure as to what the Giants are going to do at any point in the draft. They will certainly have one of the three players commonly assessed as a “blue chip” talent available to them at 3rd overall. On the flip side, they’re in pretty desperate need of a Quarterback Of The Future, with only Jameis Winston under contract for 2026 and nobody for 2027 and beyond.

Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images We’re less than two days away from the 2025 NFL Draft, and we can finally — fully — close the door on the New York Giants trading up with the Tennessee Titans for Cam Ward. Titans GM Mike Borgonzi stated in a pre-draft press conference on Tuesday that the Titans have come to a consensus to keep the first overall pick.

Petre Thomas-Imagn Images The 2025 NFL Draft has a very deep class of defensive lineman. Not only are there great players in this draft class, but there’s a very broad set of skills available to suit pretty much any need. Ole Miss defensive lineman Walter Nolen isn’t the big block-eating tackle we normally think of when we picture “defensive tackle”. However, he has an impressive burst and can be highly disruptive when attacking gaps.

Brett Davis-Imagn Images The class of edge defenders could be the driving force in the 2025 NFL Draft. This year’s EDGE class is going to determine how the first round plays out and we could see a run on pass rusher start almost immediately in the first round. Georgia edge defender Jalon Walker could be the prospect who kicks that run off, thanks to impressive athleticism and an incredibly versatile skill set.

Challenge accepted: The veteran QB market is like playing musical chairs, but all the chairs are soggy and could fall apart as soon as you sit down.

Try explaining the veteran quarterback market in just one sentence right now. It’s impossible.
