(Photo Courtesy MLL)The Premier Lacrosse League named former all-time face-off great Anthony Kelly as the next head coach for the California Redwoods on Thursday. Nat St. Laurent stepped down from his role as the Redwoods' GM/coach after six seasons last Tuesday, March 11, when the league also announced Joe Spallina would be stepping right in as the 'Woods next general manager. It took just nine days for the league to name St. Laurent's successor, consulting with Spallina on the final decision.

Rob Pannell signed a two-year deal with the Maryland Whipsnakes on Friday, ending a four-year stint with the Redwoods that included two quarterfinal appearances and a semifinal trip in 2023, but a missed 2024 postseason with a 3-7 record.

In fact, there was a period of time where he wasn’t sure he’d play in 2024, either. The NCAA Division I all-time leading points scorer and No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 PLL College Draft, Gray tallied 78 points (43G, 3T, 32A) in his two years with the New York Atlas, earning all-star honors in both seasons.

Inside Lacrosse's Chris Rosenthall was quick to report in-house moves from both the Denver Outlaws and Carolina Chaos. For Tim Soudan's Outlaws, midfielder Justin Anderson was the first big domino to re-sign with his current club with a deal through the 2027 season.

(Photo Courtesy WLL)Less than 24 hours after experiencing their first defeat, the New York Charging righted their ship in dominant fashion, defeating the California Palms 18-11 in the WLL Championship Series semifinals. New York’s 18 goals tied its highest offensive production of the series, while California’s 11 points tied its lowest output of the series, thanks in part to a defensive effort spearheaded by Kendall Halpern, the team’s lone defender by trade.
