Rhode Island is the smallest state in the country. Xavier Truss was the biggest player at the Broncos’ rookie minicamp. “I’m a big guy coming out of a small state,’’ said the 6-foot-7, 320-pound native of West Warwick, R.I.Truss, who plays both tackle and guard, wasn’t selected in last month’s NFL draft but signed as a free agent with the Broncos. The punter, who was signed March 19, was released Friday by the Broncos 13 days after they selected punter Jeremy Crawshaw in the sixth round of the NFL draft. The Broncos on Friday also released long snapper Zach Triner, whom they signed April 21. Due to the NFL roster limit being 90, they had to let go of two players in sign all of the 15 undrafted free agents that agreed to deals entering Friday's start of a three-day rookie minicamp.
