    Harry Smith bagged seven wickets to help Oakamoor seconds to victory on their NSSCL Division Three visit to Onneley. Smith helped himself to 7-29 to restrict Onneley to 165-9 from their 40 overs. Tom Salt led the Onneley batting bid with 54, which contained eight fours, while Toqeer Ashraf Mohammad (22), Jibu Abraham (20) and Jake Short (20) also made starts. Scott Heathcote replied with 31, but Mohammed Khalid’s 3-18 and two wickets for Adam Edwards helped to reduce the visitors to 116-7.

    Little Stoke suffered their first NSSCL Division Two defeat of the season after losing a low-scoring affair at Meir Heath. At the halfway stage it looked as though Little Stoke would be chalking up another success after skittling their hosts for 89. D Colclough and J Ecclestone helped themselves to 3-12 and 3-33 respectively, with the remaining wickets being shared by S Liaqat and T Spruce. M Raja (15), M Shaw (14), J Lawton (11) and N Locker (10) made the most progress with the bat.

    Silverdale new-ball duo Matthew Deyzel and Toby Degg were inspirational form to bowl their side to an emphatic victory over Sandbach in NSSCL Division One. The match at Underwood Road lasted just 21 overs in total as the Cheshire visitors suffered an afternoon to forget. Sandbach were routed for just 35 as Deyzel helped himself to 6-18 and Degg weighed in with 4-11. It took 8.2 overs for Silverdale to wrap up an eight-wicket win as Matthew Moore made an unbeaten 13.

    Checkley continued the defence of their JS Sports Vince Lindo Twenty20 Cup crown with a comfortable victory over Hem Heath seconds. Checkley took first use on Friday night in the round two clash and piled up 165-6 from their allocation. Tom Carrigan top-scored with 41 not out, with James Abbotts (31), James Kettleborough (23) and Richard Williams (20no) all making handy contributions. Nazakat Ali scooped 3-22 for Hem Heath, with Jack Jones chipping in with a couple of scalps.
