Congleton were rocking on 25-5 in the formative stages of the weekend meeting - but Prime held firm to spark a Congleton recovery. Endon seconds’ batsmen hit top gear to set up their side’s comfortable away win at Woore 2nd XI in NSSCL Division Six. L Clow’s 103, which contained 18 fours, plus 96 not out from D Bailey - a knock featuring 12 boundaries and five maximums - were the highlights in Endon’s mammoth 376-4. There were also half-centuries for J Scarratt (56) and A Sibley (54) as the visitors’ line-up made hay. A Burton replied with 46, M Atherton-Gater struck 22 and C Gater chipped in with 19.
