    Some state leaders took part in a roundtable in Pitt County today, highlighting job opportunities for those with disabilities. Congressman Greg Murphy and State Representative Gloristine Brown toured the Eastern Carolina Vocational Center in Greenville. ECVC has been operating for more than 60 years. Officials say, every year they provide jobs for 40 to 50 people with disabilities. They say last year they paid around 1.5 million dollars in salaries to people with disabilities.

    A 36-year-old tradition returns this weekend in Farmville. With rides, music, and food, the Dogwood Festival aims to be bigger than ever before. Starting on Thursday and going on through Sunday, Farmville Mayor John Moore says each day will be different. On Thursday the rides open up, Friday will be movie night, Saturday will have nearly 10 live performances, and Sunday will have a worship service.

    An open house is going on right now in Greenville to showcase resources for the blind and deaf. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is hosting this open house for its Division of Services for the Blind. They moved into the office located off WH Smith Boulevard last September, but have been in Greenville for 20 years. Because of the recent move, this event is being held to bring awareness to the resources available.

    The only bank in Aurora closed its doors indefinitely at noon today. News12 spent the entire day getting reactions from community members. In Aurora, Southern Bank is the only option for many residents. It's been such a valued business here in Aurora...and we all hate to see it go. Lewis Leaming tells me he's lived in Aurora for almost 50 years. For most of his life, he said he's banked with Southern East Bank in Aurora.
