    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The transfer portal for college baseball is officially open until July 1st and several players have already entered their names into it. Two ECU pitchers did that as Lance Williams and Ian White will be departing Greenville. Williams just pitched in the Conway Regional in one of the Pirates’ two wins over Florida. Williams struck out 47 hitters over 40 and two-thirds innings for the season. He made 25 appearances and eight starts for the Pirates.

    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — ECU’s baseball team pulled off a victorious run in the American Athletic Conference Tournament by beating Tulane and claiming the championship. That feat earned them a berth in the NCAA Tournament and the Pirates were sent to the Conway Regional along with host team Coastal Carolina, Florida and Fairfield. ECU takes on Florida first Friday as Ethan Norby will toe the mound for the Pirates and Liam Peterson will pitch for the Gators.
