There were some unusual activities happening at dusk on Tuesday in the parking lot next to the old and empty Church’s Chicken building on North Main Street. Several RVs pulled up and unloaded heavy-duty equipment. Strong men and women started hoisting poles, heavy-duty wiring and canvas up into the air — by then it became clear — a circus came to town. The small but mighty family circus Citystar has performances lined up from Thursday to Monday.
