FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- This Thursday, October 3rd, Fresno broke not just one temperature record but two. Thursday's recorded high of 105 degrees at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport set a new daily record high but also an all-time high temperature record for October. The previous daily record was set back in 1980 with a high of 101 degrees and the highest temperature of the month record was set on October 4th, 1980.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- If you've checked the Weather app on your phone recently, you might have noticed that Central California is forecasted to reach over 120 degrees on Saturday, July 6. According to ABC30 Meteorologists Kevin Musso, Christine Gregory and National Weather Service Hanford, that will not happen. Data shows that the highest recorded temperature in Fresno was 115 degrees on July 8, 1905. The closest it got to breaking that record was 114 degrees on July 11, 2021.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Central Valley is forecasted to see its first stretch of triple-digit temperatures in 2024. An Excessive Heat Warning will be in effect across the Valley from 11 am Wednesday to 8 pm Friday. Temperatures are forecasted to reach as high as 108 degrees across parts of the Valley on Thursday. After Friday, temperatures will slightly dip into the high 90s before another chance of triple-digit temperatures next week.
