BOSTON — When the FIFA World Cup arrives in Boston next year, soccer fans from around the globe will get to hear the sounds of the city, thanks to a pair of Berklee College of Music students. FIFA Sound wanted each of the 16 host cities to customize the official World Cup 26 theme to have their own local flavor.

Mass. — Turf fields are popular around Massachusetts for their consistency year-round. But some environmental groups say there are serious health concerns parents need to know about including exposure to harmful forever chemicals. A 2023 study by North Easton-based Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER), found toxic forever chemicals, known as PFAS, in some synthetic turf.

BOSTON — As more people take weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, we’re learning more about a wide range of side effects from the medications. Some patients say they notice the drug helps with other addictive habits besides overeating, from gambling to shopping to drinking and smoking. Waltham resident Pattie Manning says her doctor prescribed her Trulicity at the start of the year and she noticed a change in her eating habits and her weight right away.

Every Thursday, the Mass General Brigham Community Care Van pulls into the Egleston Square YMCA lot in Roxbury, right next to a food truck. Addiction recovery coach Linda Gousby maximizes the opportunity to hand out fliers about the van’s services to the line of people waiting for free groceries. “People who may be walking by who do not go to clinics and hospitals can come and get information from us. So it’s like that easy access,” Gousby said.
