The group meets once a month, and they discuss different topics during each meeting. On Wednesday, they learned about assistive technology. This was the second time the group met. “I’m excited to learn about new devices for blind and low vision people.” said Luna York, an attendee of the group.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Friday evening, Richard Goodall rocked the house at the Zorah Shrine Theater. The Kelly Brothers and Sugar Street joined Goodall in performing famous songs from Journey, Boston, and Toto. Goodall says Friday night is his one-year anniversary since taking the stage. He said he’s had a great time traveling the world and getting to meet new people. “Today is the anniversary of when I stepped on that stage,” said Goodall.

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Knox County Health Department teamed up with local organizations to celebrate National Nutrition Month. The Healthy Food Festival was an event featuring a variety of activities, like hands-on healthy snack demonstrations and interactive games. The purpose of this festival is to promote healthier eating habits and provide knowledge to make nutritious choices. Community Health Nurse Susan Yochum said it’s important to be aware of what we’re eating.

Locally Created Pathways are specialized programs developed by local educational agencies, to fulfill the postsecondary-ready competencies requirement, for Indiana’s Graduation Pathways policy. These pathways are meant to meet the needs of students, to ensure that graduates have the necessary skills and knowledge for success after high school.

SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— This evening, Sullivan Park and Lake held a community forum to discuss the dredging project for the lake. Local city and county leaders attended the meeting to explain the environmental impacts of dredging the lake. The project will help improve water quality, increase recreational opportunities, and preserve the aesthetic appeal of the lake. Sullivan Lake opened in 1969 and was planned to be dredged every 15 years.
