Whenever we visited her in Long Beach, there was always some kid staying there who was waiting for their forever home – either back with their biological family or a new one.

As difficult as this is for me to believe, in October, Niko celebrated his 18th birthday. I’m no longer the father of boys; I’m the father of men. I’d like to think of good men. Hey, why not listen to my interview on the Babyready podcast while doing the dishes or commuting from work? https://t.co/77gz1E1Euv

I try to cast my vote on Oct 26 in memory of my yiayia on her birthday. It’s to honor her courage for coming to America as a teenager and for encouraging me to always do what I think is right. Hey, Madam Vice President, a sweet, brave immigrant named Alexandra sent me. https://t.co/mzFoGR78pM

36 years today and still going strong. Sorry if my one marriage threatens your third. https://t.co/W0NUQv76pU
