Redstone Test Center’s Aviation Flight Test Directorate bid farewell to a leader and expert in his field, Mike Meely, on Feb. 28. Known unofficially around the center as “Mr. Apache,” Meely retired after 49 years of service in support of the Army. He was an Army civilian for 20 years, leaving an impact on the aviation testing community. Before becoming a civilian test pilot, Meely was an active-duty pilot for 29 years.

The Redstone Test Center has selected Blake Hargrove as its new chief data officer. Hargrove previously served in the Information Technology division at RTC for 16 years. In his new position, Hargrove will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the center’s data management policies, procedures and standards.
