    Outdoor Recreation is presenting a free fishing day at the Carroll D. Hudson Recreation Area on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Coast Guard boater safety course is scheduled for later this month. Each year, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources designates a free fishing day for the public to fish recreationally in public waters without a fishing license. The event is part of National Fishing and Boating Week, which runs June 1-8.
