FORESTVILLE – As he was nearing the flagstand, presumably for the final time, Sunday night at Big Diamond Speedway, Billy Pauch Jr. could not believe he was seeing the yellow flag instead of the checkered one. "I couldn't believe it," the Jack Rich, Inc., Coal Cracker 72 champion said. "I mean, the guy (Danny Creeden) stopped in Turn 2. I get it, but I couldn't get over that one. That set me back.

FORESTVILLE – No 358 modified driver has won the Jack Rich, Inc., Coalcracker 72 in consecutive seasons since Oley's Duane Howard in 1998-99. Tonight at Big Diamond Speedway, another Oley driver, Louden Reimert, will have his opportunity. He will have ample momentum after winning Friday night's Dave Kamp Memorial 25-lap feature at Big Diamond. "I like to treat all of these big races like just another race," Reimert said after his third feature win at Big Diamond this season.

FORESTVILLE – Amid the chaos after nearly five minutes of non-stop racing, Llewellyn's Kevin Beach Jr. was driving through a group of lapped cars, but still kept his focus on the one driver ahead of him in the running order. "I was watching (Ron) Haring (Jr.) more than I was watching lapped traffic," Beach said Friday night after his second feature victory at Big Diamond Speedway in 2024. "I was trying to figure out where he was going to go because I didn't run the bottom too much.

FORESTVILLE –- Even after using the outside lane to make several passes earlier in the event, Orefield's Brett Kressley was not sure he could make it to the lead of Friday night's Prelude to the Coal Cracker 358 modified feature. "I don't know. He was pretty far out there," Kressley said about Matt Yoder's advantage on a track that had taken tire rubber around the bottom. "You're obviously not going to get to him and go through him.
