Bischoff is flying over from Germany after finding his “tribe of lovable, excitable anglophone weirdos” at Glasgow’s Worldcon. Here, he tells us why it’s worth the hassle. This year’s Worldcon in Glasgow was pretty much my first fan convention experience. Well, that’s not entirely true. I’ve been to GamesCon, but that’s more of a giant consumerism jerk-off than a fan event.

    Book ReviewPauline MorganOne of the problems with having a proof copy of a book to review is that it is difficult to appreciate the finished product. Having seen it, I know that the special edition hardcover is a beautiful book and a worthy addition to any bookshelf. Sometimes, the packaging is better than the contents. Fortunately, the story between the covers is deserving of the presentation.

    Book ReviewT NagarajanRead the summary of Ordinary Monsters, and you may feel that this is the same story we have seen on the silver screen or read in many other books. However, I urge you not to judge the book by its blurb. I initially picked up this monster of a book because the story promised to be familiar – after a lengthy hiatus from reading (and sticking mainly to audiobooks), I resolved to get back into reading hard copies. Ordinary Monsters was not what I expected at all.
