AWKA – A Professor of Law, Carol Arinze-Umeobi, has been reappointed acting Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Arinze-Umeobi was first appointed in acting capacity after the immediate–past Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof Joseph Ikechebelu, was removed from that capacity. However, Ikechebelu was reinstated after Prof Benard Odoh, who was appointed Vice Chancellor in questionable circumstances, was removed.

AWKA – Ikioye Orutugu, the Commissioner of State in Anambra State, has warned that he will not tolerate losing any of his men to hoodlums. In a chat in Awka, Orutugu expressed regret that hoodlums had not learnt their lesson and had continued to destroy public property and kill unarmed citizens. According to him, in other parts of the country, hoodlums avoid public property because they believe that when the chips are down, that is where they will turn.

AWKA – The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Ikioye Orutugu, has warned that he will not tolerate losing any of his men to hoodlums. Orutugu in a chat with the media in Awka regretted that hoodlums have not learnt their lessons and lay down their arms and have been destroying public property and killing unarmed citizens. According to him, in other parts of the country hoodlums avoid public property believing that when the chips are down those properties will be what they can count on.
