Fontaines DC and Lankum are set to headline the Guinness Storehouse's Lovely Days Live festival, a triple treat of music, food, and culture. From May 23-25, St James's Gate will buzz with festivities to mark a quarter-century since the Guinness Storehouse became a landmark tourist spot. Both global hit band Fontaines DC and the celebrated Irish folk ensemble Lankum will grace the final day's stage.

Leitrim is the easiest county for residents to get on the property ladder, with buyers needing on average an €18k deposit. Chill Insurance analysed average house prices in the 26 counties and the average income in each to determine how long it would take to save for a deposit. Using the national saving average rate of 12.7% per annum, it found a single person in Leitrim could save for a house deposit in three years and nine months.

Almost half of drinkers in Ireland are spending more money on booze at home than in the pub, according to a new survey. Drinkaware is issuing a warning before the Easter weekend, as it says drinking at home can lead to dangerous overconsumption. As prices in pubs continue to rise, 45 per cent of adults say they are more likely to drink at home than they were last year. This compares to 38 per cent in 2023.

Tánaiste Simon Harris said the second phase of the ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza must be implemented as he travels to talks in Luxembourg on Monday. The Foreign Affairs Minister will be attending the first-ever sitting of the EU-Palestine High-Level Dialogue. The nephew of a man who Grand National winner Nick Rockett was named after said the pub he owns erupted when the horse romped to victory last weekend. Eddie Rockett who owns Rockett’s Bar in Kilmacthomas in Waterford said the Willie Mullins trained horse was named after his uncle - who passed away 20 years ago. The publican said his uncle would never have believed the legacy his name would go on to have.
