The newest release from Crowned Heads in Tennessee is not only a play on words, but a medium-to-full-bodied cigar on its way to retailers now. Broadway is named after Nashville’s famed downtown entertainment district and also references the dark Connecticut broadleaf wrapper that covers the cigars.
Made in Nicaragua at Nicaraguan American Cigars S.A. (NACSA) in Estelí, Broadway is all Nicaraguan, except the wrapper.

Time is of the essence. Such is the idea behind Dark Time, the newest release from West Tampa Tobacco Co. The cigar was previewed at the PCA trade show in April and began shipping to retailers this week.
“Time is our most precious resource and what better way to spend that time than sharing our finest cigar with family and friends?” says co-owner Gus Martinez.
Dark Time is available in one size, a Toro measuring 6 inches by 54 ring gauge.

As the presidential bid for the White House has concluded, so has the bidding for a humidor made to resemble the president’s home. The Daniel Marshall limited-edition White House Humidor—filled with 300 Arturo Fuente cigars—was auctioned for charity in October for a quarter of a million dollars at the home of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Brentwood, California.

Bourbon and cigars are a natural pairing for many, but not all Bourbons are the same. General Cigar Co. is bringing back its Weller by Cohiba brand, a limited-edition cigar intended to pair with Weller Bourbon, only this year, General has taken a slightly different approach. While the three previous releases (2021, 2022 and 2023) had binder leaves aged in Weller 12-Year Bourbon barrels, the 2024 edition was made with binders aged in a barrel that once held Weller Full Proof Bourbon.

Luciano Meirelles, of Luciano Cigars, has expanded his Underrated brand with its largest size yet, a grande. Created in partnership with five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, the brand was released earlier this year at the PCA trade show. The thick new size is expected to start shipping to retailers by the second week of August.
Measuring 6 inches long by 60 ring gauge, the new cigar is called Summer Breeze.

Earlier this year, Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigar Co. announced that the Aganorsa-made El Güegüense and Wise Man Maduro lines would be discontinued and replaced with new versions produced by the Garcia family at the My Father Cigars factory. Called Wise Man Corojo and Maduro, the new cigars began shipping to retailers at the end of April and the start of May, and a new shipment is scheduled for later this week.

Cigarmaker A.J. Fernandez is expanding his Días de Gloria brand with a new cigar that is distinguished by its cover leaf. The new line, called Días de Gloria Brazil, was on display at the PCA trade show in Las Vegas and should be shipping soon.
Translating to “days of glory,” the original Días de Gloria brand was created by Fernandez to honor the Cuban cigars of the pre-Castro era.

Laudisi Enterprises, a company that specializes in premium pipes and pipe tobacco, has expanded into the premium cigar market with its acquisition of boutique cigarmaker Caldwell Cigar Co. Laudisi is the parent of Smokingpipes.com, Kapp & Peterson, Laudisi Distribution Group and Cornell & Diehl. Laudisi Distribution Group began handling fulfillment of Caldwell and Lost & Found cigar orders to retailers and distribution on March 8 after the deal was signed on February 9.

Nashville-based Crowned Heads is adding a darker iteration of its Míl Dias brand called Míl Dias Maduro. Translating to “1,000 days,” Mil Días was first released in 2020 and was named after the amount of time it allegedly took to get the blend just right. The new line will be appearing at the TPE trade show in Las Vegas, which begins at the end of the month, and is expected to ship to retailers by the end of February.
