Now, the company is following up with the Hoyo de Monterrey Shade, a mild cigar that will ship to retailers starting on June 2.

Most cigars come in boxes, some come in bundles, but Pete Johnson’s Pork Tenderloin comes curiously packaged in white butcher paper, much like you would find at a high-end meat market. Like a chef taking a familiar recipe and substituting one of the ingredients to see how it changes the flavor, Tatuaje Cigars’ Pete Johnson continues his experimentation on how different wrappers can affect cigars in his portfolio. At the PCA trade show, held earlier this month, he showed off previews of the Tuxtla and Corojo editions of 7th Corona Gorda, a size from his Tatuaje Seleccion de Cazador line, commonly known as Brown Label.
