A former Dover doctor was sentenced Friday to serve 12 to 16 years in prison for strangling his wife to death in May 2020 after she allegedly struck him with a glass. Judge Mark A. Hallal issued the sentence to Ingolf Tuerk in Norfolk Superior Court, calling his conduct “truly disturbing.” Before Hallal handed down his sentence, he heard impact statements from a daughter and sister of the victim, Kathleen McLean, 45.
