Dangerous ‘energy-saving’ plugs are still widely available through online marketplaces at a time when new laws are being discussed to help prevent the sale of unsafe products, a Which? investigation has found. The plug-in devices falsely claim to save you money on your electricity bill by ‘stabilising’ voltage and ‘balancing’ electric current to ‘optimise’ the performance of household appliances. In truth, they do nothing of the sort.

A cup of instant coffee can offer a quick caffeine fix, but the soaring price of popular brands might leave a bitter aftertaste. Which? tracked the average price of 12 branded coffees at six supermarkets - Asda, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose - including special offers and loyalty discounts where applicable, in the first two months of this year and found price rises of up to 40%.

The 141-year-old retail chain has topped our annual supermarket satisfaction survey for the fourth year in a row and has been named a Which? Recommended Provider (WRP). Ocado and Tesco were the leading supermarkets for online shopping, with customers impressed by their range of products and easy-to-use websites and apps.
