ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The 12-year-old boy who was swept away by floodwaters in Albemarle County is believed to have been found dead Wednesday morning. According to Albemarle County Police, first responders found a body, whom they believe to be 12-year-old Jordan Smith, in the Newton Road area at around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14.

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — The Fort Clifton Arts, Craft and Music Fest in Colonial Heights returned this weekend for its 49th annual event. The two-day event, which was held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, featured food, music and arts and crafts sales. Held annually on Mother’s Day weekend, the event included arts and crafts people selling handmade items. Civil war relic exhibits were also on display for community viewing.
