RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A man is dead after he was shot multiple times during a graveside ceremony at a Richmond cemetery on Wednesday. At 2:41 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to Oakwood Cemetery on Nine Mile Road for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Police told 8News that this shooting took place during a graveside ceremony.

(WRIC) — Following concerns over its status earlier this week, the Greater Richmond Transit Company’s (GRTC) zero-fare bus program will now continue until at least the end of 2025, with the brand-new $6.8 million in state funding, GRTC announced on Friday morning.
