Since taking Ragnow with pick No. 20 in the 2018 NFL Draft, the former Arkansas Razorback has become a key piece for one of the top offensive lines in the NFL. In seven seasons with Detroit, he has made four Pro Bowls and earned three second-team All-Pro nods. In 16 regular-season games last season, he posted an 85.3 Pro Football Focus grade, the third-best mark at his position. Ragnow's retirement doesn't torpedo the Lions O-line.

Diggs — who signed a three-year, $63.5M deal with New England in free agency — has been rehabbing from a right ACL tear he suffered in October 2024. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels seems eager to start working with the 31-year-old wideout. "It's a voluntary part of the year, we know that," McDaniels told the media. It's a widespread superstition that if a player appears on the game's cover in the summer, they'll suffer an injury or their numbers will plummet that season. Boisson isn't the only athlete who has used virtual reality. Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has used virtual reality simulations since his time at LSU, via The Athletic's Ben Standig. During the 2024 season, Daniels won Offensive Rookie of the Year and finished seventh in MVP voting.

Over the past four seasons, the Vanderbilt Commodores have had some painful NCAA Tournament losses, but Sunday's probably stung the most. In the Nashville Regional at Hawkins Field, the Wright State Raiders upset the Commodores, 5-4. With the loss, Vanderbilt is the first No. 1 seed to not make it to the regional final of the NCAA Tournament since the 64-team bracket was adopted in 1999. A slow start doomed the Commodores.
