The Washington Commanders were one of the surprise packets of the 2024 season, with no one predicting a 12-5 record and an NFC Championship appearance. New head coach Dan Quinn and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels took the league by storm, and the franchise doubled down on its success in 2024 by being aggressive in free agency. Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel were traded to strengthen two key positions for Daniels, but it is the defense where most of the "issues" are.

The New York Jets' roster needs for most, are rather clear and they begin on the offensive side of the ball. Some offensive line help at right tackle and a new weapon for Justin Fields, with the receiver room looking rather depleted if a game were played today. But the draft is where the Jets can get some new blood into the building, and that is where players like Tyler Warren or Armand Membou have been consistently mocked to the Jets by several outlets.

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice was on pace to cruise past his rookie numbers in Year 2 as he hit the ground running with Patrick Mahomes in 2024. But just four games in, a nasty knee injury saw Rice be sidelined for the season, and left the Chiefs without their No. 1 weapon. Rice was on pace to have 1,224 yards in his second year before injury struck, and now, he's on the comeback trail as the Chiefs begin their offseason work.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will enter the NFL Draft with only a couple of needs, and one could make the case that the franchise doesn't have big, urgent moves they need to make. More so, looking to add depth and push those already on the roster. The offense led by Baker Mayfield is set, but defensively, despite the addition of Haason Reddick in free agency, still needs another body, and the linebacker spot with Lavonte David still going, might need a youth injection with Alabama's Jihaad Campbell.
