The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be holding open house meetings to discuss their plans to replace the shipping lock on the industrial canal. this plan will impact the Bywater, Holy Cross, the Lower Ninth Ward, and St. Claude neighborhoods.Officials are asking residents in those neighborhoods to attend the meetings to find out more information, give input, and learn about the construction that will take place in the area. The meetings will be happening the following days and locations.
