These are the lanes closest to the Promenade (see photo). This equipment allows enforcement of the weight limit imposed to prevent further damage to the cantilevered structure that carries the BQE below Brooklyn Heights.

    By on 10:37 pm in Subway Service Alerts, TransportationThis weekend – late Friday evening, June 20 to early Monday morning, June 23 – just like last weekend there will be no service at the 4/5 platforms at Borough Hall as 4 trains will originate and terminate at Bowling Green in Manhattan and 5 trains do not serve Brooklyn on weekends. Those traveling to or from the East Side of Manhattan can transfer between 4 trains and N or R trains, which should be running normally, at Canal Street.
