Has life found a way outside of Earth? According to some scientists, that might be the case. BBC reports how a research team from Cambridge University has been studying the atmosphere of a planet known as K2-18b. And they observed signs of molecules — dimethyl sulphid (DMS) and dimethly disulphide (DMDS) — that, on Earth, are only produced by simple organisms. “This is the strongest evidence that there is possibly life out there,” lead researcher Prof. Nikku Madhusudhan said to the BBC.

A popular car rental company has revealed it experienced a data breach. This breach resulted in the exposure of customers’ personal information, including some’s Social Security numbers. In a notice published to its website, Hertz confirmed that Cleo — “a vendor that provides a file transfer platform used by Hertz for limited purposes” — was subject to this breach in October and December 2024. The notice explains that this unauthorized activity wasn’t confirmed until February of this year.

A major retailer has voluntarily recalled thousands of baby food products. This baby food reportedly had elevated levels of lead. According to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Target pulled about 25,600 units of its 4-ounce Good & Gather baby food products on March 12. The flavor — which is sold at Targets across the country — that was specifically affected is Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Purée. The FDA has labeled this recall as a Class II risk.

It’s the song of later and later deadlines. George R.R. Martin — the author whose “A Song of Ice and Fire” books were adapted into the “Game of Thrones” series — has essentially come out and said the next installation is the bane of his existence. Entertainment Weekly reports that Martin has been working on the next book in the series — “The Winds of Winter” — for about 13 years now. And he’s just so darn tired of fans asking him what’s taking so long.
