    After a few morning showers, the next few days stay dry with dangerous heat moving in. Friday morning brings a few showers accompanied by a few rumbles of thunder. This activity exits by lunch time with the afternoon drying off and sunshine returning. Temperatures will also make it back into the middle 80s. Dangerous heat builds in for the next coming days. Highs will reach into the low to middle 90s starting Saturday through Tuesday.

    A few chances for rain and storms remain as the summertime heat begins to move in. Showers greeted us early this morning with sunshine to take over for the rest of the day. Afternoon highs also climb back into the middle 80s. Quiet conditions are expected overnight with a low chance for a few showers and storms to move in during the morning. Strong storms are expected to the north of us with the remnants to move into northern Illinois. This is why the area is under a 1 out of 5 for tomorrow.

Soaking showers and heavy rain-producing thunderstorms will continue through tonight as a low pressure system drifts just to our south and east. Afternoon highs soar into the low 90s. A few passing clouds are possible. Later tonight, those near the Il/WI line may see a stronger storm or two. Chances are low along with a low, marginal risk in place. Parts of the area, north of US 20 are under a 1 out of 5.
