The Monroe Moccasins early season hopes of a championship contender slowly faded away and were certainly emphasized tonight with a 6-4 loss to division winners Carolina. The Moccasins returned to Monroe after 23 years as an expansion franchise in the Federal Prospects Hockey League.

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Ruston’s Ahmad Hudson adds another award to his collection. The sophomore was named Louisiana sports writers most outstanding player for 5A basketball. The 6′8 power forward averaged 21 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks this past season.
