STERLINGTON, La. (KNOE) - The Sterlington Panthers have punched their ticket to Sulphur for the second straight season. The historic senior class has made a trip to Sulphur every year except one since 2017. Although Westlake scored a run early in the first, Travis Adams got the bats rolling with a no doubter in the bottom of the frame. This is the second game in a row with a homer for the ULM signee. After just one inning the Panthers had a healthy lead 6-1.

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - For the first time since 2018 the West Ouachita Chiefs are into the state semifinals. With a doubleheader sweep of Iowa on Mitch Thomas and the chiefs are still in with a shot at a state championship. West Ouachita won game 1 4-0 behind a one-out away no hitter from Cam Martin. Then took the series win in game 2 by a score of 8-5. West Ouachita will travel to #1 Brusly, series starts May 9. Copyright 2025 KNOE. All rights reserved.

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - 3-3 in the bottom of the 7th, Kade Emabanato did what most kids dream of, hitting a walk-off homer, this one to send the St. Frederick Warriors into the state quarterfinal. In a second round match up against 9 seed St. Mary’s, the 8 seed Warriors made tough work of it, trailing the majority of the game until tying it up in the bottom of the 6th. Aiden Melna pitched a complete game and provided 2 runs, one each in the 4th and 6th inning to bring his boys back level.

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - All good things must come to an end. ULM Softball’s perfect 22-0 home win streak snapped in game one of its series against Texas State. Despite the loss, ULM fans did set an attendance record with over 1,200 people in attendance. Head Coach Molly Fichtner Credits that to all the hard work her players have put into the program. “You created that. MONROE, La. (KNOE) - ULM softball’s mighty 22-0 undefeated home record ended to Texas State, 5-3. The Warhawks are still chasing history and a championship. ULM must win the final two games of the series to claim its first ever Sun Belt championship outright.
