At NVIDIA GTC 2025, the company announced the NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell series. This is not called the B40, like the A40, L40, and similar cards were. Instead, the “Pro” tells us that we have a card designed for professional workloads. This new RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell series comes in three variants to span desktop workstations to server applications.

At this week’s 2025 Intel Foundry event, there were a number of non-process-related capabilities that the company showed. One was the Intel Foundry Thermal capabilities. That included solder TIM and other more traditional approaches we have seen as well as options like liquid-cooling being done in package.

Kioxia, AIO Core, and Kyocera now have a faster PCIe Gen5 over optical SSD. The new generation builds on the previous PCIe Gen4 version but doubles the speeds. This is a technology really designed for future data centers, but it is also one that we saw the previous generation of at FMS 2024 in August 2024. Today, the MLPerf Inference v5.0 results were released. This release was, as one might expect, mostly dominated by NVIDIA Hopper systems, but there were a number of Blackwell GPUs out there as well. We also saw AMD and Intel have a number of submissions, but both were focused on two different parts of the market. What we did not see was a lot of chipmakers outside of those three, except for a Trillium result.

At NVIDIA GTC 2025, NVIDIA launched what we expect to be the ultra popular platform in the GB10 with small options like the NVIDIA DGX Spark and ASUS Ascent GX10. There was another, much larger platform released, the new NVIDIA DGX Station GB300 edition. Despite sporting a NVIDIA Grace Arm-based CPU and a NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, the platform requires installing another GPU to get video output.

CoolIT showed off a new 4000W cold plate for liquid cooling this week. What is neat about this design is that it is one that can extend the longevity of single-phase direct liquid cooling well beyond the next generation or two of accelerators.
