The former Central Grizzly was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Worthy made an immediate impact for Kansas City. The Fresno native finished the regular season with 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns.

(AP) — The Chiefs are putting kicker Harrison Butker on injured reserve while he undergoes a procedure on his knee, though they hope to have him back for the playoffs, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Thursday. The Chiefs are expected to sign Spencer Shrader off the Jets’ practice squad to fill in for at least the next four weeks, added the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team had yet to announce the roster moves.

Central Valley Fuego FC head coach Jermaine Jones has been suspended by the USL. In an article released by The Athletic, it states Jones has been suspended for retaliation, hostility, and harassment to his players. According to the report, Jones has not been coaching since August 30. The former USMNT member has also been put on probation for the 2025 season. Players spoke out stating that Jones deterred them from speaking to the union.
