The Temple Garden Centre in Moose Jaw will be filled with 90’s country music fans this Saturday as Mark Chesnutt makes a stop on his tour across Canada and the United States. Opening for Chesnutt will be Canadian country icon Aaron Goodvin. Over the years, Chesnutt has earned 14 number one hits, 23 top ten singles, four platinum albums, and five gold albums. He broke on to the country music scene in 1990 with “Too Cold At Home,” which would reach #3 in the US and earn him a #1 in Canada.

As the first day of summer arrives in Canada, many in Saskatchewan and Alberta will be staying indoors out of the rain. Meteorologists are forecasting significant rainfall for residents along the Rocky Mountain foothills and as far east as the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border. According to weather experts at the Weather Network, a deep upper-level trough will move across the Rockies bringing with it 100 to 150mm of moisture in the Calgary and Lethbridge areas.

When most people think of Saskatchewan they think of two things; wide open fields and old grain elevators that you can see for miles. At one time, every little town and railway siding had a wooden grain elevator but, sadly, over the years many of these old structures have closed down, fallen into disrepair, or been completely demolished.
