We are waking up to a cool to mild start this morning in the 50s and 60s with patchy fog and and even some scattered showers and a few thunderstorms still out and about in Deep East Texas. Due to a stalled cold front, scattered rains could continue in southern portions of Deep East Texas even into the afternoon today. For those who see sunshine in the afternoon, expect warm highs in the lower 80s.

EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - We’re waking up to more mild and muggy conditions with temperatures in the 60s and even low 70s with mostly cloudy skies. Southerly winds will be breezy again today, blowing at 10-20 mph sustained with some gusts reaching upwards of 25-30 mph at times. Expect another mix of sun and clouds this afternoon as temperatures climb into the middle 80s for highs. A stray shower or two will be possible later in the day, but most will likely stay dry..
