A cold front is set to move into East Texas late Thursday into Friday morning which will help another round of showers and thunderstorms moving through East Texas.

East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Memorial Day is a First Alert Weather Day due to the threat of heavy rains and isolated storms. Most of East Texas dealt with heavy rains and/or storms this morning, and unfortunately more rain will be possible later today. The bulk of our heavy thunderstorms have left East Texas, but some scattered rains will be possible into the afternoon, bringing the occasional downpour and rumble of thunder at times.
