PONCHATOULA, La. (WGNO) — The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival closed early Saturday, April 12, after two people were wounded following a reported shooting. According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Ponchatoula Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired near the festival’s ticket booth around 9:25 p.m. At the scene, TPSO officials said one victim was found with a graze wound and another victim was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
