Six area high school baseball players were recognized Thursday for their performance on the diamond this season. The Pennsylvania State Baseball Coaches Association All-State baseball team was announced and three of the six players were named to the first team.

City Church concluded its inaugural volleyball camp on Thursday. The Neshannock High softball team was ranked 16th best in the nation on Tuesday. MaxPreps listed its top 25 softball teams in the nation and the Lady Lancers received the No. 16 spot after posting a dominant performance for the 2025 season. “I think it’s awesome,” Neshannock coach Jackie Lash said on the honor. “I follow MaxPreps and get emails from them constantly, not just on seeing our national ranking is so high.
