After multiple teases throughout the show (including a fake-out where it was hinted that the game wasn’t ready to show yet), Resident Evil 9 (officially called Resident Evil: Requiem) was announced at Summer Game Fest, with a release date that’s way sooner than we would have expected: February 27, 2026. The cinematic trailer starts to introduce us to a new cast of characters, particularly focusing on FBI Agent Grace Ashcroft.

Just when you thought it was safe to be friends with Ramona Flowers, Scott Pilgrim EX is coming to deliver even more four-player beat-em-up action and a new original story. The game is a follow-up to Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game, a co-op action game that originally debuted on the seventh generation of consoles and was famously delisted until it was finally rereleased by Ubisoft a few years ago.

Square Enix and Tactic Studios dropped a trailer for Killer Inn, a new social-deduction murder-mystery game, during Summer Games Fest. The game sees 24 players invited to a strange and old castle, competing to win “unfathomable riches”. They are randomly and anonymously split into two teams – the Wolves, whose goal is to slaughter all of the Lambs to win their prize, and the Lambs, whose goal is to deduce and kill the Wolves to survive.

Players will need to upgrade their gear and explore to find hidden resources in order to keep up with the increasing danger of the ruins and stay alive.

Atomic Heart 2 was revealed at today’s Summer Games Fest event, unsurprisingly, as the sequel to Atomic Heart, an alternate-history science-fiction first-person shooter released in 2023. The game is set in a retro-futuristic version of an alternate Soviet Union in the 1950s, as society collapses under the weight of a robot uprising. In our review, we complimented the set-piece action that the first game delivered, and it seems likely that the second title will deliver even more of that.

This is *exactly* the kind of thing I want to see to allow this universe to expand. There's so much room in Star Wars for all kinds of other genres and formats of storytelling, and it could even be done much more cheaply than CGI-heavy action shows!

ANDOR creator Tony Gilroy thinks a Star Wars courtroom drama would be “fascinating” “Could you do a courtroom drama in Star Wars? Why couldn’t you? It’d be fascinating. You’d have to invent the legal system, but you could. Why not? That would be interesting.” https://t.co/oQmJX0XAFg
