Nahki Wells has quashed rumours that he will return to Bradford City after announcing he is to leave Bristol City at the end of the month. Wells has been linked with a return to his former club in recent weeks as his contract at Bristol City ran down but the Bermuda forward may feel he has more to offer at a higher level as he played down chances of that move. "There's absolutely no truth in that," Wells told The Royal Gazette yesterday as news broke of his impending departure from City.

Kenny Leseur will not be competing at this week's North & South Men's Amateur Championship at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina. The top local player earned exemption into the event for winning the Bermuda Amateur Match Play Championship at Port Royal Golf Course in April but is now ineligible after turning professional.

At last check, the duo were sixth in Class A and tenth in line honours and are 188 nautical miles from the finish line off St David's Lighthouse, travelling at just over 3 knots after a busy night of searching for favourable breeze.

Nacori Smith thumped the first century of the First Division 50 Overs season as Southampton Rangers thrashed Western Stars by 225 runs at Southampton Oval on Sunday. Rangers piled up a massive 309 for seven after electing to bat, with opener Smith leading the run feast with 109 from 119 balls, while Dion Stovell chipped in with 86 from 109 balls and Jordan DeSilva 55, from 44 balls, to keep the scorers busy.
