The executive ranked last year among the highest-paid CEOs of Charlotte-based public companies. Coca-Cola Consolidated Inc. (NASDAQ: COKE) CEO J. Frank Harrison III brought in a $19 million compensation package in 2024. The pay package was detailed in a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Harrison's compensation ticked down from the $19.8 million he received in 2023, SEC filings show.

Iredell County commissioners have approved an incentives grant for the possible expansion. Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing has won incentives for an expansion in Iredell County. The Iredell County Board of Commissioners on April 1 approved a grant for a $23 million expansion proposed by the Statesville company. County documents state that a decision is expected this month on the expansion, which would begin this quarter if it moves forward.

Charlotte-based Novolex has completed its $6.7 billion acquisition of Pactiv Evergreen Inc. (NASDAQ: PTVE). Novolex, which makes packaging for the food and beverage industries, is headquartered at Toringdon Office Park in south Charlotte. The deal with Illinois-based Pactiv Evergreen was initially announced in December. The combined company will continue under the Novolex name and be headquartered in Charlotte. The deal also takes Pactiv Evergreen private.

He netted just over $20 million in total compensation last year. CommScope Holding Co. Inc. (NASDAQ: COMM) CEO Charles Treadway landed a pay package in 2024 much higher than what he received the previous year, according to a recent U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Treadway earned total compensation of just over $20 million last year, SEC filings show. That's 63% higher than the $12.3 million compensation package he saw in 2023.

Harry Sideris ascended to the role today after serving as the company's president since last April. Sideris will retain the president's title as well. He succeeds Lynn Good, who retired after serving as Duke's CEO since mid-2013. Sideris has been with Duke and predecessor company Progress Energy for 29 years in various roles. He previously served as Duke's executive vice president of customer experience, solutions and services as well as president of Duke Energy Florida.
