AbstractPhage-plasmids are unique mobile genetic elements that function as plasmids and temperate phages. While it has been observed that such elements often encode antibiotic resistance genes and defense system genes, little else is known about other functional traits they encode. Further, no study to date has documented their environmental distribution and prevalence.

However, that's what unfolded at the most recent edition, where Rebecca Clayton, Niel Howard and Trevor Weal were the most recent club legends to receive such an acknowledgement. The trio have been long serving members of St Pats, all accountable for lots of the club's success, whether that was coaching or playing.

The Bathurst Edgell Jog is back and ready to run, but they're chasing more entries - and fast. The event is back for another year, with the 7.5 kilometre course will be put into action this Sunday. The Edgell Jog, which first commenced in 1976, has accumulated over 50,000 total runners in its 46 years of racing and has become a favoured annual event among Bathurst. However, the annual Bathurst jog will once again fall on the Sunday of several different sporting grand finals.

After two years of development the Bathurst Sportsground is ready for action. The newly renovated facility will be available for use after final touches were recently completed, meaning the ground will be ready to host the opening round of the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket competition on October 6. The Sportsground underwent a $1.3 million dollar renovation, with work on the ground starting in late 2021, and is set to become the city's home of cricket.
