Last Thursday, May 1st, both Guthrie and the union came to a tentative agreement on the contract, and the vote to ratify the new agreement took place on Tuesday, May 6th. (WENY) -- College graduations are on the horizon and one of the last activities that C-C-C nursing students take part in is a mass casualty drill, simulating a real-life high-intensity scenario before they enter the nursing world. The drill simulated a large-scale car accident where dozens of people would suffer injuries ranging from minor to fatal. Fellow CCC students would act as the injured, and the nursing students would have to administer care based on the level of injury.

NEW YORK STATE (WENY) -- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is updating the state list of endangered species. The first category to be revised is fish -- with mammals and birds soon to follow. Though some fish species were newly classified as threatened, none have fallen into the category of endangered. However, changing weather conditions and the cleanliness of water remains a concern for some species in local rivers.
