WENY-TV serves as the ABC/CBS and CW television affiliate for the Central and Western Twin Tiers region, covering parts of Southern Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania. Located in Elmira, New York, WENY transmits a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 36 from its transmitter situated on Higman Hill in Corning. Viewers can also access the station on Time Warner Cable channel 4 and in high definition on digital channel 1200. Owned by Lilly Broadcasting, the station's studios are based on Old Ithaca Road in Horseheads, NY. Additionally, it can be received over-the-air via an analog repeater, W06AR, broadcasting on VHF channel 6.

    (WENY) -- A man is facing an attempted murder charge for allegedly stabbing two people in Elmira on April 20th. According to the Elmira Police Department, they responded to the 200 block of W. Chemung Pl. around 12:15 a.m. for a report of someone who was stabbed. Upon arrival, police said they found a victim with a life-threatening injury to their neck. The victim was taken to Robert Packer Hospital and is in stable condition.
