    Skeletal remains found in Thompson have been identified as a missing Plainfield woman. The remains were located on Lowell Davis Road in Thompson Oct. 17, 2024. According to the Plainfield Police Department, the remains were later identified as Alicia Balderston by the State of Connecticut's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Plainfield Police said May 31 that the cause of death is undetermined. Balderston had been missing since 2023, according to Plainfield Police. On Oct.

    The last days of school for Norwich area schools are just around the corner. Prom and graduation seasons are here, meaning that school is about to get out. Days filled with sandy beaches, baseball games and cookouts are right around the corner. Soon, children will be out of the classroom and at sleepaway or day camps.     The Connecticut Sun will play the Indiana Fever at the TD Garden in Boston July 15. The TD Garden has more than twice the basketball seating capacity of Mohegan Sun Arena, the Sun’s home court. Both the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics play their home games at the Garden. Last season, the Sun defeated the Los Angeles Sparks, 69-61, at the Garden. Indiana announced May 26 that their star Caitlin Clark had suffered a left quad strain and would be out at least two weeks.
