From here on out, expect chaos in our Fab 50 rankings. This week’s rankings, and likely next week’s, will look completely different as peak season is officially here for N.J.’s top athletes, and the state leaderboards have continued to see massive changes by the day. Jaw-dropping solo efforts have seem routine lately, but Piscataway’s Noah Grant took it to another level—slashing over four-tenths off his 100 dash time and nearly toppling the legal wind state record.

It was a moment that shocked everyone watching at Old Bridge, even Noah Grant himself. The Piscataway senior was feeling as confident as ever heading into the 100 dash finals. He’d already hit his season PR at prelims to book his ticket into 100 dash finals (10.5). A faster time at finals would’ve been great, but his goal was to simply come out and defend his conference title that he won last year. Breaking a state record was the last thing on his mind. Until now.
